I have always been fond of reading and could be frequently found browsing at libraries in Bangalore in my youth. Thanks to my parents, Janaki and Narayana Kurup, getting books to read was never a problem, and it is to them that I owe my lifelong interest in words. I hold qualifications from IIT, Madras and IIM, Bangalore. Among other things, I was instrumental in setting up and running Yoga Alliance International, the first world-wide Indian certification organisation for yoga schools.
Books I have written include Yogatma: the spirit of Yoga, and Fat Cats and other stories and Walking in the Park – tales from Lalbagh (available on Amazon and other platforms). My short stories have appeared in many publications, including The Statesman, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, and Deccan Herald.
